GatewayDear Miss Lochner,
I am writing to convince you to open a healthy snack shop for Gateway Primary School. This will help students during break. This will help students with their maths and science skills; they will add up totals and choose a balance diet. The children will also enhance their maths and science skills. The healthy snack shop will help children concentrate in the next lesson and vastly improve their childhood experience.
Surely you will agree that running a small snack shop will dramatically improve student’s maths and science skills. All children will be able to add up total prices, working out changes; practising their adding. Moreover, children will have more experience in running a small business; children will be calculating profits and making financial decisions. This is obviously going to enhance maths skills and provide vital, beneficial business experience that can be used in throughout children’s lives. In addition to developing maths skills, all students will be using their knowledge of science in deciding what kind of healthy food to choose for their snack shop. An illustration of this is the year 6 topic of Healthy Living. Students learn the importance of eating healthy food and what a balance diet is throughout this essential topic.
Research tells us that a snack shop will improve children’s learning and concentration in class therefore instantly helping students to work harder in their next lesson. Furthermore, Year 6 children will achieve high marks in their SATs; the snacks will give them energy and will help them improve their scores. Gateway pupils will be motivated in the incoming lessons and, because of this, Year 6 children will be better prepared for their tests. Some children attend booster classes and lunch is late in the day so all students, especially Year 6, feel hungry in the middle of the day. It is clear that all parents want their children to have energy throughout the day and be healthy. When students have outside exercise, they need extra energy. Therefore, a snack shop will help them have energy and help them improve in their upcoming lessons.
It certainly could be agreed that a healthy snack shop during playtimes will make children healthier. It is therefore proven that a snack shop will be ideal for the school. Children will be eating their 5 a day and they will also receive vitamins and minerals from the fruit they eat. It is important to eat fruit and vegetables every day. Therefore, the snack shop will sell fruit and vegetables; this will help children be healthy. Fruit helps the digestion process and helps prevent illnesses and diseases. The fewer absences mean better attendance, thus more learning will happen.
Consider your childhood; did you have the benefit of a healthy snack shop? The snack shop will help students improve their maths and science skills drastically. The children will become healthier and happier. Do you want the school to be vastly improved?
Yours Sincerely,
Alaa

LondonDear Ms Lochner,
I am writing to persuade you to open a healthy snack shop during break times - which will certainly keep the students full. Healthy snack shops will improve students’ futures; they will develop their math skills; they will use their science knowledge and this will lead students to a healthy life. Furthermore, there is a better chance students will pass their SATs.
Studies have proven that running a snack shop will dramatically improve students’ maths and science skills. While children are running the snack shop, they will practise mentally adding & subtracting profits - this will give them business experience. Moreover, children will take responsibility in giving the right amount of money. As a result of this, children will excel on their mental math tests. As well as improving on their mental math skills, children will expand their knowledge in science. An illustration of this is the year 6 topic, Healthy Living. Throughout the year, year 6 students have been focusing on this topic. The students will make exceptional decisions on what each child receives. As a consequence of this, every child in Gateway will be eating a balanced diet. Having a snack shop will make it clear to everyone what they must be eating. Overall, a healthy snack shop will certainly help children succeed on their SATs, which will make the children relieved.
Furthermore, a healthy snack during playtime will give children energy. Therefore, they will concentrate more in the next lesson. An illustration of this is some children attend booster classes and lunch is late in the day, so the children feel hungry as well as frustrated. If children are famished during lessons - they will obviously not concentrate! In addition to this, children will have enough energy during P.E. Games or after school clubs. After all, parents tend to send their children to sport clubs but assume that they must have energy throughout the day.
Having a snack shop will also keep children healthy; it is essential that children have their five a day. Fortunately, the snack shop will have enough fruit and vegetables for everyone. In addition to this, children will receive vitamins and minerals from the fruit they eat. Many children are concerned about their weight. Therefore, a healthy snack shop will help ease their worries. Moreover, eating fruit helps the digestion process as well as fight illness and diseases. As a result of this, there will be fewer absences which is vital for year 6.
Overall, a healthy snack shop will advance pupil’s science skills; they can concentrate more during lessons; a healthy snack shop will also improve on the pupil’s behaviour, which will make our school stand out in the local community. Having children hungry will decrease their concentration during lessons.
You’re sincerely,
Art Zabergjia
